The New Renault Clio 4 won the Golden Steering Wheel 2012 in an awards held in Berlin, Germany by Autobild magazine.
Renault considers it very important to have been awarded in Germany, a country that is renowned for high quality and performance of their cars . The New Clio won in the category of "Small Cars".
In its 37th year, the Golden Steering Wheel attended by 44 candidates in six categories. In the categories coupe, convertible and MPV, the winners were chosen by readers directly, but in the other four categories the final vote was preceded by tests of the five finalists in Balocco track in Italy, led by a jury of personalities.
Since the beginning of the Golden Steering Wheel award in 1976, Renault has won 10 times: with the Fuego in 1980, Renault 9 in 1981, in 1984 Renault 25, Renault Clio 1990, Renault Espace 1991, Renault 19 in 1992, third and the fourth generation Espace in 1997 and 2002, and with the Scénic in 2009.
