After advancing some pictures last week, Subaru is presented in full on Tuesday the fourth generation of the Forester crossover. Adopting the new design language of the brand, the model will be one of the main attractions of the brand in the Hall of Los Angeles later this month and should arrive in Brazil next year.
The new Forester 2014 measures 4.59 meters long, 1.79 m long, 1.69 wide and has a wheelbase of 2.64 meters. According to Subaru, now there is more space for rear passengers and the trunk wider. Among the equipment, especially the new entertainment system with reverse camera, GPS and integration with smartphones.
In the U.S. market, the new Forester is available with two engine options, both being gasoline. The access block is a 2.5 boxer than 170 horses, which can come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or automatic type CVT, while the more powerful is a 2.0 turbo with direct injection and 250 hp power, always with CVT transmission .
In Europe there is, beyond the block more potent 250 horsepower, a 2.0 Boxer Diesel engine. In other markets, like Brazil, is still offered an engine of 150 horsepower 2.0. The options exchange will be the same model for the North America.
